At minibag, we think about the environment every day – how we can manufacture and produce as sustainably and environmentally friendly as possible.

That's why we've been working on a vegan minibag for a long time and now it's finally here: our minibag made of imitation cactus leather.

Cactus leather is breathable and durable, like real leather. The material is environmentally friendly because it does not require any plastics. It is particularly sustainable because the nopal cactus from which the material is made needs very little water.

But that’s not all:

- Cactus leather is environmentally friendly because cacti bind CO2 during their growth.

- It is resource-saving because you only need about three cactus leaves to produce one running meter of cactus leather.

- Since the plant is not damaged when the leaves are cut off, the harvest is particularly gentle on the plant.

- Cactus cultivation does not compete with food cultivation as is the case with apple leather, for example.
